Being sick is never fun
I could not move, walk or run
I couldn't even go to school
I felt like a fool
To the doctors I went
On the couch is where my time was spent
I missed a lot of class
The work a mass
When I finally went back, the work just kept coming
It was all quite numbing
I would have to work hard to complete it all
I did not want my grades to fall
I spent two long nights doing the work
I finally got it all done
The battle of missed work, I had won!
I can relate to this so much. The worst part about missing school is all the make up work. Especially having to do it when you're still sick.
ReplyDeleteDuring 10th grade I missed one day of math class, and you won't believe the type of work I missed. At least to me missing a day of math class is like missing and entire year of math class. But I am proud you got your work done, because there are other kids who won't make up the work. Good for you :)
