"Time for Prom"

The time has come
I was getting so nervous I was almost numb
Every senior has been waiting the whole year for this
We were all in a state of utter bliss

Getting ready was the easy part
I put on my shirt and tie to start
Next came my pants, my vest, and a jacket to complete the suit
I came downstairs and my mom said I looked pretty cute.

Next was the tough part, taking pictures with my date
I hate taking photos, but she looked pretty great.
Once the pictures were over we were off to prom
I'm not going to lie, it was the bomb!

The prom was super fun,
I was so said when they said it was done.

"My Last Day of Gym"

This month marked the end of the third marking period of the year
And with that came my last day of gym
It was all becoming so clear
My epic senior year is becoming so slim

It wasn't the most fun day in gym,
But it was my last and I tried making the most of it
And now I'm telling you about it in this here hymn.
The last thing I wanted to do was sit.

We played a little game of volleyball.
A mix of upper and lower classmen.
It was a boring game and most of the time the ball just hit a wall.
If I had the choice I would not play it again.

But all in all it was a good ending to my gym career.
I left that class with cheer.
Now its on to health for the rest of the year!

"Getting Back To Business"

This month we had our research paper due
The days to work for my charity were coming to a few.
I couldn't believe I waited so long
I was clearly in the wrong

I had not acted maturely for seventeen
But a second chance was given to me by the gracious Mrs. Collentine.
Another charity I was assigned to help out
I would work my hardest I could for this, no doubt.

My job was simple, bunnies I had to collect
A good cause they would go to and effect.
But at first the kids would not cooperate
Because of my constant asking some even got irate.

It took a few days and a lot of persistence
But at the end of the collecting the kids have me their assistance.
More and more bunnies I had each day
It left me with nothing to say.

I had felt like I finally redeemed myself.

"Coming Back From Sickness"

Being sick is never fun
I could not move, walk or run
I couldn't even go to school
I felt like a fool

To the doctors I went
On the couch is where my time was spent
I missed a lot of class
The work a mass

When I finally went back, the work just kept coming
It was all quite numbing
I would have to work hard to complete it all
I did not want my grades to fall

I spent two long nights doing the work
I finally got it all done
The battle of missed work, I had won!

"Studying For Mid-Terms"

My very last high school midterms
Fill me excitement and dread.
I couldn't wait to get them over with.
To prevent stress, I knew I had to get ahead.

I planned on studying early
So that I didn't have to cram the night before.
But I was scheduled to work every day that week.
I had no time to study, but my grades couldn't be poor.

Tuesday I decided that I needed to take a day off.
My boss understood I needed to study.
But I almost forgot about some family plans.
I had to go to dinner for my mother's birthday!

I felt sorry, but I needed to make time.
My mom rescheduled dinner for this weekend.
Which finally gave me some free hours.
And Tuesday night, I didn't want to, but I crammed.
