It's the start of a new season
Time for competition to be given a new reason.
Its indoor track time, and I thought I'd be ready
But when I began to run my knees were a bit unsteady.
I ignored it for a few days,
Until the pain was unbearable, then I went to see what the trainer says.
He said I have a syndrome called ITB.
Where the IT band rubs against and irritates the knee.
The trainer gave me many stretches to do.
He said they should make my knee feel like new.
So I rolled my knee out, stretched it with my resistance band.
I did this for about a week, and after my knee felt grand.
So I went back to practice after a week of rest.
It was a slow start, but at least the pain had recessed.
I will keep making progress,
As the season gets less and less.
I'm glad your knee feels better now and I hope it stays 'feeling new' throughout your season! Good luck and have fun being a part of indoor track!
ReplyDeleteWhen I broke my ankle and couldn't play football sophomore year I felt the same way. Hope all stays well and good luck in your track season!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear your knee is feeling better! It would be terrible to have to miss out on the whole season.
